Mid Day Escape
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharal Nehru
Corey and I made some time today to get out to Crowder's mountain mostly to enjoy the weather and let Brody get very worn out. We made sure this time around to bring a blanket, some extra water (for Brody), snacks (bananas+nut bars+dried mango chips) and hats in case the sun was blinding (which it was). We also brought along a backpack for Brody so he could sit if the trails got to intense. Sounds dumb, but for a yorkie he is different in that he can hike 10 mile trails and rarely makes a peep..not your typical "lap dog."
We went up some lighter trails, and chose paths according to what we felt Brody could handle (I didn't really want to carry him much). We ended up making it to the top pretty quickly...and there was crisp air (almost like Fall) that felt amazing the entire time. Love when the weather decides to just be completely perfect in every way. We took a bunch of photos too and goofed off like 10 year olds all over again. It was a nice way to take a "mini day vacay" during this busy week I have ahead..which I will take. Hope your week is going smooth and steady!
