Moving Day: Fancy Seeing You Here
So I wanted to share that this is the weekend I am moving (for maybe the 40th time) and hoping for the best! I have a feeling this will be just perfect for what I need this year. I have realized, and expressed to you, my feelings on this new abode and how it is very temporary. I am thankful I made a wise decision on renting for a few more months until I decide where I truly want to reside. I will be that person that probably visits and tours 10 homes before settling. I am most decisive on pretty much everything, but found I am becoming quite the opposite on major decisions. I guess I have that minor fear that something will just go terribly wrong with whatever I end up choosing (learning to get over this and understand God has a plan for me).
I am really excited to finally get in this space and make it mine. I am so thankful for my boyfriend and his dad for helping me move some pieces today while I nanny (they are the sweetest & best!). I think the first thing I will be purchasing (and hopefully only) is a couch set. I have like three options and need to just pick one!
The collage wall behind above the couch is my main priority ( I think because it is what I'm most looking forward to doing). I am also ready to see my rugs and decor in place and my kitchen ready for some serious cooking!
I went over yesterday to get the keys, check it out, get some ideas and take a few photos. I sat on the bare floor and just looked around and said to myself "This isn't home forever just for this season." I closed my eyes and asked God to let this be a good transition for me and a period that shapes me. It's always a bit nerve wracking moving and making changes but slowly I'm embracing them and worrying less about the uncertainties.
Here are a few photos I took..I will go ahead and say they are not that great and I completely left out my bedroom somehow. I think from nannying..to racing through traffic..to signing my lease..I was not exactly in the picture mood (just wanted to lay down).
I will keep talking more about this and probably add this post to a category called "Beck's Abode." Can't wait to see some color in here!
