3 Things: Hello October

1.   Fall is here, and maybe it's just me, but it feels insanely incredible out (minus the sporadic rain/torrential downpour we have been dealing with). I have already begun getting my vtinage tray entry table ready for Halloween, with vintage spooky jars, sparkly pumpkins, and candles galore. I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I give it the final touch.

My new daily routine is now coming home from work, lighting every pumpkin infused candle around me, pouring a well deserved glass of crisp riesling, and lounging with my pup. It works out nicely and I try to remind myself regularly that this routine will soon change as I get older..get married..have children..the list goes on. I remind myself that while I sometimes withhold wishful thinking..my routine, currently, is wished upon by many others.

Scarowinds, pumpkin patches, festivals and mountain trips are among a few of my favorite activities that October features. I finally sat down with my mama, pulled out our calendars, and planned some Fall trips..one being a trip to Chetola in Asheville with her and my sister! It has been forever since the three of us have spent quality time together (without little ones disturbing us) so I am looking forward to getting away with them.

2. As you can probably gather I am truly enjoying styling for Petal and showing you our latest trends, new arrivals, favorite pieces and ways to utilize pieces for more than one look. Our little black dress, Pinot Noir, went live this morning on our site www.shoppetal.com. I would say it is the ultimate sophisticated sexy look and really works well for each holiday event approaching!

3. This verse has been my go-to this week and has been comforting. We never always no our next steps or next plan but God does and when I have doubt this relieves every worry. We all need to be reminded of just this...

(Jeremiah 29:11)- For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
