Happy 6 Months Tatum!
It has been such a blessing being able to watch this little one while I figure my schooling/photography/blogging/etc. She is one of the most easy babies I have been a nanny too which is pretty remarkable since I've nannied a number of sweet little babes (I have a feeling this mom gig for me one day might be easy as pie after all I've learned). I think people sometimes think when you nanny a baby you just sit around, eat junk food, watch trashy TV and do nothing....those people clearly have never had a child or been a caretaker. Our daily routines go about this way-
8:30- I arrive while her mom is getting brother off to preschool. I typically play with T on the floor working on put blocks in different buckets and other motor skills.
9-10:30- morning nap time (we cuddle for a bit then she is out)
11- We typically try to make it to story time at the Morrison library or the South Regional library..if not we will sometimes go on a walk if its warm or just hang out inside.
11:30- Milk time! She is doing about 5 or 6 ounces and is happy as a clam after her belly is full.
Between 12 and 4 is a really big up in the air time period. We have started doing some purees and I usually give that to her before her 1:30 bottle. Bath-time happens every other day during this time period and we continually work on different skills like sitting up..scooting..all sorts of things.
4-4:30- afternoon nap including lots of cuddles
5-6-T typically is still sleeping and her momma arrives home!
SO as you can see, we have a pretty busy (fluctuating day) but I adore every moment. Yes there are times I want to pull my hair out or needs a few deep breaths but it's rare. Babies bring me anxiety down and make me feel an amount of joy inside that is indescribable.
