Taste & Tell: Snacks that fill you up!
As a nanny and gal on the go, I often like to eat snacks to fuel myself throughout the day. Ive always had a very high metabolism, so 3 big meals a day ussually doesnt cut it for me. Grazing is the term I'd use when describing my eating style. I typically go for a high protein breakfast, a healthy lunch filled with nuts/chicken/vegetable/fruit and dinner is a hearty meat/starch meal with our new favorite brussels...most every day. Inbetween each of those meals I have on hand a few snacks to keep my mood positive and energy flowing...
-grapes (red and green)
-almonds/cashews (both tend to fill me up quickly)
-cheese (this goes without saying much..I adore cheese..and it has so many benefits for your body when eaten in moderation)
-sandwiches with egg salad/pecan salad or chicken salad (these usually are easy to eat on the go if prepared ahead of time...this is also a bigger snack or can be a meal for most everyone)
- hard boiled eggs (i tend to make a batch of these each weekend for the week ahead if i need to grab a quick breakfast out the door or if i'm honestly just a bit lazy! #imhuman)
-berries/apples (these go hand in hand with grapes ..giving yourself extra mood enhancers and boosting your immune system with vitamin c and other good stuff!)
-Prosciutto/ham (every cheese needs it's partner and these pair well with wine too if your getting into the wee hours of the evening waiting on din din)
