Ice cream break!

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"

"When it's over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms."

"Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."

-Mary Oliver

These words..so deep.. the inspiring thoughts she strings through my mind and my heart never seem to fail. How true are these very simple statements ringing such profoundness? I have realized the importance lately of shifting my perspectives and POV and opening my eyes and mind to the uncertainties..the unknowns..and letting them shape me.

Lately, Ive been letting Tatum tackle activities (even foods) she may not be prepared for but to see how she handles them. I mean arn't we all gven obstacles we are not sure we are prepared for? Ive dealt with this a lot...whether its something little like trying indian cuisine or big like dealing with my Father's death. SO here she is trying out a drumstick ice cream pop for the very first time and man it got devoured. The expressions and squels were pretty priceless and now I know she can handle a big girl treat! ....Always ..ALWAYS the little things which will enrich your life more than you'll fathom.
